is it possible that alveolar ventilation gets doubled when PO2 = 60mmHg but the peripheral chemoreceptors dont get stimulated till po2 is less than 60mmHg? my book says so and i'm confused

Some of the good information here eg chemoreceptor response to PaO2 between 60-100mmHg … is not found in the general texts/textbooks (or probably just I read too little =p )
